Shoplifting complaint at Lowville Walmart results in petit larceny charge against local resident

LOWVILLE- A local resident is accused of shoplifting from a retail store in Lewis County, authorities say.

Brittany M. Lloyd, 34, of Glenfield, NY was arrested Tuesday evening by the Sheriff’s Office in Lowville. Lloyd is formally charged with one misdemeanor count of petit larceny.

According to Sheriff’s Deputies, the arrest stems from a shoplifting complaint, which was filed shortly before 6:30 p.m. at the Lowville, NY Walmart.

At press time, police said that Lloyd was processed and released with an appearance ticket, which is returnable to Lowville Town Court at a later date.
