BOONVILLE- A resident from Southern Lewis County is accused of violating a court order in the village.

Last Thursday, village police investigated a complaint from the Summit Street area.

The victim alleged that Jeremy L. Walters, 23, of Lyons Falls, NY reached out to them via social media.

Police said that move violated a full stay away order of protection.

Police charged Walters with one misdemeanor count of criminal contempt in the second-degree.

After being processed at the Boonville Police Station, Walters was transported to Oneida County Centralized Arraignment.

There were no further details provided.
