SYRACUSE- If you fly Southwest Airlines, you will no longer be able to use the airline to fly out of Syracuse, NY.
Southwest Airlines announced last week that will no longer fly out of Syracuse starting in a few months.
Hancock International Airport officials say they’ve been notified that Southwest will cease its operations there on August 4.
It’s part of a widespread reduction in services for Southwest, which is also leaving Bellingham International Airport, Cozumel International Airport, and Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport.
Southwest officials say it’s because delays in Boeing aircraft deliveries have reduced the airline’s capacity to carry passengers.
