
CROGHAN- A North Country man is accused of numerous felony sex offense charges in Lewis County, authorities say.
Jeremy F. Snyder, 37, of Watertown, NY was arrested Wednesday by the New York State Police. He is officially charged with four felony counts of criminal sex act (by force) in the first-degree; two felony counts of criminal sex act in the first-degree (victim under 13-years-of-age); one felony count of sex abuse in the first-degree (forcible compulsion) and one felony count of sex abuse in the first degree (victim less than 13-years-of age/suspect 21-years-of-age or older).
State Police say Snyder is accused of having forcible sexual conduct with a child under 13 on multiple occasions. Troopers said complaints were initially filed in July in the town of Croghan.
Following his arraignment, Snyder was jailed in Lewis County, without bail.
Members of New York State Parole and Jefferson County Child Protective Services all provided assistance.
