State Route 294 re-opened following crash between vehicle and tractor trailer Thursday morning
ONEIDA COUNTY- Police authorities are investigating Thursday morning’s collision that involved a vehicle and a tractor trailer in Northern Oneida County.
It happened shortly after 6:00 a.m. on State Route 294, between the Gleasman Road and State Route 26 in West Leyden, NY.
A portion of the roadway was shut down while emergency responders worked the scene, however; officials confirm that it has since re-opened.
According to Oneida County 9-1-1 Dispatch, the wreck involved a motor vehicle and a tractor trailer. Initial reports suggested an entrapment.
We have no official details to share as of this report regarding specific injuries, or how many victims altogether were involved.
West Leyden Fire Department was the primary responder on-scene, with Boonville providing assistance. State Police and Sheriff’s Deputies also responded.
