State Troopers charge local resident with menacing in town of Norway dispute

NORWAY- A local resident from the Kuyahoora Valley area is faced with an accusation, which stems from domestic dispute complaints in Herkimer County, authorities say.

Charles E. Guyer, 39, of Newport, NY was arrested Sunday morning by the New York State Police (Herkimer). Guyer is formally charged with one misdemeanor count of menacing in the second-degree (weapon).

According to Troopers, the arrest stems from an alleged domestic incident reported on February 7 in the town of Norway.

At press time, police said an investigation was pending. Guyer was released on his own recognizance.

There were no further details provided.
