WASHINGTON, D.C. - North Country Congresswoman Elise Stefanik says the judge's move to issue a gag order against Donald Trump amidst his 2020 election interference case was illegal and unconstitutional.

"It is illegal and un-American for the Leftist Judge in NY to order that President Trump and his legal team can't raise issues about the Judge's biased law clerk — especially when it is very obvious that she is playing an integral role in this case," she said.

"This is a dangerous pattern by Democrats across the country to try to muzzle any defendant — let alone the leading Presidential candidate who is leading in all the polls against corrupt Joe Biden."

Meanwhile, sources from the Associated Press confirm that the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit has temporarily lifted the gag order against Trump and his legal team.

That move was made on Friday.

The appeals court said the temporary pause “should not be construed in any way as a ruling on the merits” of Trump’s bid.
