Steuben County New York Man Dies in Snowmobile Accident

TOWN OF MARTINSBURG-A 54 year old Cameron Mills, New York man is dead following a Saturday evening Snowmobile accident on the Flat Rock Road Trail C5A in the Town of Martinsburg. Lewis County sheriff’s deputies said a 2023 Polaris snowmobile driven by Dean C. Cole was travelling west on the trail when it exited the north side of the trail and struck a tree. Cole was treated at the scene by numerous civilians who performed CPR until the arrival of emergency personal. Cole was pronounced dead upon arrival at Lewis County General Hospital. Deputies were assisted at the scene by Martinsburg Fire Department volunteers, Lewis County Search and Rescue, New York State Police, and Groff’s Towing.
