Teen from Forestport faced with sex offense accusation, according to State Police

OHIO- A youth from Northern Oneida County is faced with a sex offense charge, police say.

During the later afternoon Tuesday, the New York State Police (Marcy) announced the arrest of a 17-year-old Forestport, NY teenager. A name or a gender for the suspect was not provided via police.

They were formally charged with one misdemeanor count of sex abuse in the second-degree (involving a subject under 14).

Troopers say the arrest was made in the wake of complaints filed in the town of Ohio that same day.

At press time, police said an investigation was still pending. The teen was issued with an appearance ticket.

There were no additional details revealed.
