Town of Ohio domestic dispute results in criminal mischief charge against local resident

OHIO- A domestic dispute in Herkimer County has resulted in a criminal mischief charge filed against a local resident, authorities say.

Brian K. Jones, 53, of Newport, NY was arrested Wednesday by the New York State Police (Herkimer). Jones is formally charged with one misdemeanor count of criminal mischief in the fourth-degree.

According to Troopers, the arrest stems from a domestic dispute complaint, which was reported on Sunday in the town of Ohio.

At press time, police said that Jones was released.

There were no further details provided.
