Town of Webb ‘Shop with a Cop’ event was successful, Chief Johnston says

OLD FORGE- On the heels of Lewis County’s event this holiday season, the Town of Webb Police Department is reporting a successful turnout for their ‘Shop with a Cop.’

It was held this past Tuesday at Old Forge Hardware.

The event, according to Chief of Police Ron Johnston, is designed to provide opportunities for families and children who may be enduring less than fortunate circumstances to enjoy even further the holiday season.

Each child was given a gift and other goodies. Chief Johnston says kids tend to see or interact police officers under mostly bad circumstances, so this event served as an opportunity for kids to have a fun evening with their local cops.

On behalf of the Town of Webb Police Department, Chief Johnston would like to thank everyone who pitched in and helped make this year’s ‘Shop with a Cop’ another success.
