Troopers arrest Poland man for alleged DWI in town of Russia

RUSSIA- A man from the Kuyahoora Valley area is accused of intoxicated driving, authorities say.

Christopher B. Whitaker, 21, of Poland, NY was arrested late Wednesday by the New York State Police (Remsen). He is officially charged with DWI (first-offense).

Troopers say the arrest took place shortly after 11:15 p.m. in the town of Russia.

At press time, Troopers said Whitaker was released on his own recognizance.

There were no further details provided.
