ROME- A pair of suspects from the Mohawk Valley is facing drug charges in the wake of a lengthy narcotics investigation, according to police.
Cory L. Tennant, 51, and Kara L. Tennant, 34, both of Rome, NY were arrested Tuesday by the city police department. Investigators say both are charged with criminally possessing a controlled substance in the third-degree.

It was during the early morning hours when Rome Police and their Special Response Team executed a search warrant at 229 Ridge Street.
The warrant was issued as investigation led authorities to suspect the sale of narcotics from that address. Police reportedly discovered just over 10-grams of meth, along with various packaging materials, scales and other drug paraphernalia.
Both Cory and Kara were held for arraignment at Rome City Court, police said at press time.
Members from the Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit and Utica Police Special Investigations Unit all assisted.
