FLOYD- Non-life threatening injuries were the result of a collision between two vehicles over the weekend in Oneida County.

Emergency responders were dispatched shortly before 9:00 p.m. Sunday to reports of a personal injury accident on the New Floyd Road, town of Floyd.

Per an investigation from the Sheriff’s Office, Deputies say that Shauna Broadbent, 34, of Holland Patent, NY was heading north on the Koenig Road in a Chevy Traverse and collided with a Toyota Tacoma at the intersection with New Floyd Road.

The Toyota was heading west and was being driven by William Spinelli, 29, of Syracuse, NY.

Broadbent was taken to Wynn Hospital for what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries, while Spinelli was evaluated by EMS on-scene.

Though the investigation remains ongoing, police determined that Broadbent failed to stop at the stop sign.

Members from Floyd Fire Department, AmCare Ambulance and Cushman’s Auto all assisted.

There were no specific charges or citations mentioned by police at press time.
