WASHINGTON, D.C. – An agreement has reportedly been reached by Senators as of Sunday and serves as the first steps to re-opening the U.S. Government, according to several sources.

However, the process is still expected to take a few days, because if approved, it would need to pass the House and be signed by President Trump to officially become law and re-open the government.

Senate Democratic Leader Charles Schumer (D-NY) says he will vote no on the resolution, going on to blame the Republicans for refusing Democratic proposals to continue Affordable Care Act funds.

Meanwhile, President Trump has continued his rhetoric in blaming the Democrats for the shutdown.

At the same time, confusion remains over SNAP benefits for the month of November.

Just this past Friday, New York Governor Kathy Hochul directed her state agencies to issue full benefits, however; the FDA responded on Sunday with a statement directing states that took similar steps as New York to “immediately undo” any actions taken to send out full SNAP benefits, claiming those moves were not authorized.

As of this publication, the shutdown has lasted almost 40-and-a-half-days.
