UPDATE: Authorities locate man reported missing, from Carthage, deceased

CARTHAGE, NY- The man from Carthage, NY, who was reported missing, has been found deceased.

This update is according to the Carthage Police Department. Zachary Montgomery, 31, was found in the waters of Black River on Saturday afternoon.

Authorities said his body was located not far from the village boat launch.

As previously reported, Montgomery was last witnessed on April 21 in the South Mechanic Street area.

Despite these developments, police say the investigation remains ongoing.
