UPDATE: Lowville Ice Skating Rink re-opens

Ice Skating

The Town/Village of Lowville Ice Skating Winter Recreation Program has recommenced, effective Saturday, January 7, 2023, with the reopening of the ice rink at the Pavilion at the Lewis County Fairgrounds in Lowville.

Effective Monday, January 9, 2023, the mid-afternoon weekday schedule will commence, with open skating from 1-3 pm, Monday through Friday, each week.

The full open skating schedule is below:

Monday: 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. (regular) 12:00 noon – 5:00 p.m. (school vacation/holiday).

Tuesday: 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.(regular) 12:00 noon – 5:00 p.m.(school vacation/holiday).

Wednesday: 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. (regular) 12:00 noon – 8:00 p.m. (school vacation/holiday).

Thursday: 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. (regular) 12:00 noon – 5:00 p.m. (school vacation/holiday).

Friday: 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. (regular) 12:00 noon – 9:00 p.m. (school vacation/holiday).

Saturday: 1:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

Sunday: 12:00 noon - 6:00 p.m.

Rink closed – Any day weather and/or travel conditions are unsuitable for safe operation of the Rink.

Snow Days – Any day Lowville Academy and Central School District closes for a snow day an announcement will be made, via internet and radio, if weather and/or travel conditions will allow the rink to be open and, if open, the hours of operation.
