UPDATE: Pedestrian identified in fatal accident on State Route 365 in Verona; police say vehicle involved left scene and has yet to be located

ONEIDA COUNTY- The victim in a fatal accident this week in the town of Verona, involving a pedestrian, has now been identified, emergency responders are reporting.

At first, Sheriff’s Investigators say it happened sometime around 7:00 a.m. Tuesday on State Route 365, but per the latest updates, police say the incident now appears to have happened sometime Monday evening (around 7:15 P.M.).

Timothy D. Sullivan, age 61, of Oneida, NY was walking along the roadway when he was struck by a vehicle. The incident occurred just east of Nicky Doodles.

That vehicle involved apparently fled the scene and police have yet to locate the driver as of this report.

Sullivan was reportedly walking towards the city of Oneida, NY, deputies said.

At first, a portion of the roadway was closed down, but since has since re-opened.

Investigators are asking anybody that has information, or believes they may have seen something, to contact 315-765-2767.
