Rome PD Williamson Burger King Robbery

ROME- An arrest has been made following a police investigation into a robbery that occurred this month at an area fast food establishment.

Paul B. Williamson, 41, of Utica, NY was arrested on Monday by the city police department on one felony count of robbery in the first-degree.

The arrest stems from a reported robbery at the Burger King at 106 South Madison Street. As previously reported, it happened on Monday, June 9.

Based on previous interviews with law enforcement figures, a store employee alleges that Williamson entered while brandishing a knife before demanding money from the register.

Williamson reportedly managed to flee with an undisclosed amount of cash. There were no injuries reported by investigators.

Following processing, Williamson was taken to the Oneida County Jail for arraignment, police said at press time.
