ST. LAWRENCE COUNTY- Michael Snow, the 32-year-old man arrested, tried and convicted for the murder of Elizabeth Howell, 21, the Crane School of Music student at SUNY Potsdam in February, 2022, will spend 22-years to life behind bars.

According to the latest from WWNY-TV, Snow’s sentence was issued Friday morning.

In a follow up, reporters learned from District Attorney Gary Pasqua that Howell was not Snow’s original target. Instead, he says Snow originally intended to target former co-workers and a family member, but the plan didn’t pan out.

He chose SUNY Potsdam because that is where one of his original target’s works, reports indicate.

In court, Snow did express remorse for his actions and said how sorry he was.
