UPDATE: State Police release details after investigating fatal ATV wreck near Boonville

BOONVILLE- Authorities have released an update regarding Friday night's ATV wreck in Northern Oneida County.

Investigation via the New York State Police confirms this incident involved one fatality. It happened sometime around 8:30 p.m. on the Domser Road, just outside the village of Boonville, NY.

According to emergency officials, Andrii Yavorskyi, 30, from Norwalk, Connecticut was operating a Polaris Sportsman 700 ATV in a westerly direction.

Troopers say he lost control of the machine on a sharp curve. Yavorskyi could not regain control of the ATV and overturned after running off from the roadway.

Police determined he was thrown from the machine. Yavorskyi was pronounced deceased by emergency responders on-scene.

Investigators mentioned that Yavorskyi was not wearing a helmet when the crash occurred.
