Utility pole snapped in property damage accident just outside of Boonville, NY, Fire Department says

BOONVILLE- Emergency agencies responded to a car v. utility pole accident over the weekend in Northern Oneida County.

It happened Sunday evening along State Route 294, just outside the village of Boonville, NY.

According to Boonville Fire Chief Dave Pritchard Jr., the accident involved one car, which crashed into a utility pole. The impact caused the pole to snap, firefighters said.

Boonville Ambulance ended up transporting one victim for an evaluation. No specific injuries were mentioned at press time.

Amidst some inclement weather that evening, Chief Pritchard Jr. did mention that the roads were slippery when the accident occurred.
