WEBB- A man from Northern Oneida County is accused of operating a vessel while intoxicated in the wake of a boating accident in the Western Adirondacks over the weekend.

Dylan T. Lyon, 30, of Boonville, NY is officially charged with operating a vessel while intoxicated and having a BAC greater than .08%, according to Town of Webb Police.

It was shortly before 8:00 p.m. Sunday when emergency responders were dispatched to reports of an overturned boat incident on Fourth Lake, near the Third Lake channel.

When responders arrived, it's reported that a small Seadoo jet-boat was witnessed overturned and partially submerged. The vessel reportedly belongs to Daiker's Rental Boats. Chief of Police Ron Johnston says there were seven people involved in the wreck, including the reported driver, Lyon, and six other passengers.

No injuries were reported and all parties were safely hauled ashore for EMS evaluation.

Lyon was processed and released on appearance tickets, which are returnable to the Town of Webb Court at a later date.

Police said the initial investigation suggests so far that alcohol use and operator inexperience are contributing factors.

There were no further details provided.
