
JEFFERSON COUNTY- A North Country home had its porch damaged Wednesday night after a tree fell over.
It happened sometime around 10:30 p.m. on South Main Street in West Carthage, NY. West Carthage Fire Department was the primary responder.
According to an update from WWNY-TV, the tree took down some power lines as it crashed into the house. Furthermore, it also caused a gas leak for the neighboring household.
Responding agencies managed to shut the gas off. Crews from National Grid worked to tend the downed wires.
Officials say the homeowner was present during all of this.
There were no reported injuries.
