Boonville- Anita Gail (Wright) Hutton, 82, wife of Jerry and a life resident of Moose River Road, passed away peacefully at Rome Memorial Hospital, while surrounded by the loving care of her family.

Anita was born in Boonville, on January 15, 1943, during the severe blizzard of 1943, a daughter of Vinal and Adrienne Lalonde Wright.  She grew up on the Moose River Road and received her education at Boonville Central School, graduating with the Class of 1961.  Following high school, Anita attended Oswego State Teachers School (SUNY Oswego), graduating with the Class of 1965.

In the fall of 1965, Mrs. Hutton began her very illustrious over thirty-year career as a 5th grade teacher at Boonville Central and Adirondack Central Schools.  Anita always placed her complete heart and soul into her teaching career and to state that Mrs. Hutton brought “a spark” to teaching is an understatement!  In a 5th grade classroom headed by Mrs. Hutton, “there was never a dull moment!” Mrs. Hutton is also fondly remembered for the many field trips which she took her students on, ranging from tours of the museums at Cooperstown, to extensive overnight field trips to Niagara Falls and Canada, with a stop over in Rochester, thrown in for good measure.

Mrs. Hutton was a lifelong faithful member of Trinity Episcopal Church, of Boonville, freely giving of her time and talents, serving in every capacity in the life of the church, including years of heading up many largely attended church dinners.

After retiring Anita and her husband, Jerry enjoyed traveling extensively around the U.S., especially making many trips to and staying in the Big Sky state of Montana, specifically at Ennis, where they enjoyed the mountain wildflowers and beautiful scenery.

In addition to her husband of nearly 60 years, Jerry W. Hutton, Anita is survived by a son, Chad Hutton and daughter in law, Sheryl (Rubyor) Hutton; a daughter, Shana (Hutton) Kraeger and son-in-law, Daniel Kraeger and grandchildren; two sisters, Andrea Hirschey and Valerie Ingerham and many nieces, nephews and grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins and friends.  Anita was predeceased by her parents; one sister, Janis Lyke, brothers in law, Russ Hirschey and Joe Ingerham.

Anita’s family expresses a note of thanks and sincere appreciation to her aids, Roxanne, Yvonne, Elizabeth, Sally, Kayla & Julie, Wendy and also a special thank you extended to Sharon and Hope from “That’s my Style.”

There will be no services or calling hours.  Contributions in her memory may be made to Boonville Fire Company, P.O. box 164, Boonville, NY,13309, or to the J.S. Koster Hose Company / Port Leyden Fire Company, P.O. Box 652, Port Leyden, NY 13433.  Her arrangements are in care of Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville.
