
George Charles Feuerstein III, 69, of Dayan Street, passed away at his home on Monday August17, 2026.
George is survived by three siblings, Tom Feuerstein; Paul Ann Klotz and her companion, John Flynn; Susan Colantino; nieces, nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by a sister, Carol Ann Hennard; two brothers, Jamie Lee and Andy Feuerstein; and a baby brother, Daniel Feuerstein; and a sister-in-law, Lynne Feuerstein.
George was born on June 13, 1957 in Buffalo, NY, a son of the late George Charles Feuerstein II and Mary Mayer Feuerstein and attended school in Cattaraugus and moved to Lowville in 1987 where George worked as a stocker for Tops in Lowville from 1990 until his retirement.

He was a member of the New Bremen Fire Department and was active with the Fire Police and was a member of Sons of the American Legion, Lowville, and a member of Lewis County Memorial Post #6912 Auxiliary. George enjoyed his antique police car and driving in the Lewis County Fair Parade and collected fire department memorabilia and enjoyed watching old western television shows and traveling.
A graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday September 4, 2026 at Beaches Bridge Cemetery, Watson with Deacon Ron Gingerich officiating. Contributions may be made in George’s memory to Lowville American Legion Post #162, 5383 Dayan Street, Lowville, NY 13367.
