Boonville - Glenda Ellen Yager, 78, of Millers Woods Road, widow of Stanley James “Jim” Yager, passed away in the comfort of her home on January 28, 2024 while under the loving care of her family.

She was born on October 30, 1945 in Clinton, NY, the daughter of Erford Ramsdale and Orvis Yates. Glenda worked at several businesses in the Boonville area including: Lolly Manufacturing, Burger Buster, Bonfare, Buffalo Head Restaurant, Sunset Nursing Home, and the NYS DDSO Cerebral Palsy Home, from which she retired.

On April 18, 1964 she was united in marriage with the love of her life Stanley J. Yager in Hawkinsville. For a time, Jim and Glenda owned and operated a gas station and country store in Hawkinsville and also operated a dairy farm on Millers Woods Rd. Mr. Yager passed away on June 5, 2008.

She is survived by her five daughters: Teresa (Darren) Dailey, Tammy Heaton, Joanne Yager, Mae (Charles Jr.) Humphrey, and Kimberly Yager (Wendell Jones); two sons: Jonathon Yager (Melissa Humble) and Kenneth Yager, a daughter-in-law Dawn Yager several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors also include her three brothers and two sisters. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her son Stanley J. Yager, III on April 29, 2022, and a granddaughter Elizabeth Yager.

In keeping with Glenda’s wishes there will be no calling hours or funeral services. Graveside services will be held this spring in Boonville Cemetery.
