Boonville- Gloria A., Stocklosa, 70, a longtime resident of Woodgate Drive, passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2025, at Bethany Gardens of Rome. 

Affectionately known as “Glo,” she was born in Lowville, on September 6, 1954, a daughter to Louis J. and Bettie J. Binhamer Stocklosa.  Glo received her education in Boonville, graduating from Adirondack Central School, with the Class of 1973.  Thereafter, she furthered her education at Herkimer County Community College, where she graduated, earning an Associate Degree.

Glo was first employed for Adirondack Oil, Boonville, office staff, followed by employment for Williams Oil Co. Remsen.  Later for over 30 years she was employed as a secretary and bookkeeper for United Cerebral Palsy, Utica, NY. 

For many years, Glo was a very active participant in the Big Brothers, Big Sisters programs.  She was especially attentive with her two little sisters, Amber and Erica and she always hoped she touched the lives of many children.

She is survived by a brother Thomas (Rene) Stocklosa, Boonville, a brother, David (Debbie) Stocklosa, Boonville; nephews, Adam (Noel) Stocklosa, Steuben, Benjamin Stocklosa, Boonville, Christopher Stocklosa, Rome and a great niece Jazzmine Stocklosa. Boonville and cousins. 

Her Funeral will be Saturday, June 14, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville, where Rev. Matthew Rawson, pastor of Christ Our Hope Parish of Boonville, will officiate.  Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Boonville.  Calling hours are Friday 3-7 P.M. at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, please consider sending a contribution in her memory to Big Brothers Big Sisters, at 258 Genesee St. Utica, NY 13502, or to United Cerebral Palsy for benefit of their Boonville Facility; please send to 125 Business Park Drive, Utica, NY 13502 and write in memo line on check for benefit of the Boonville NY UCP Facilities/Activities. 

Following the services and interment, all are invited to attend a further celebration of Glo’s life, at the Harland J. Hennessey Post V.F.W. Hall, on Park Avenue in Boonville.
