LYONS FALLS- Jeffrey Scott Rogers, 59, of Lyons Falls, New York, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2026, in the comfort of his home, on Shibley road, surrounded by the love of his family, following a long and courageous battle with A.L.S.

Born on May 28, 1967, at Lewis County General Hospital, Jeffrey was the son of the late Eleatha and Almon Rogers. He was raised in the South Lewis area, where he attended South Lewis School, before later earning his GED.

Throughout his life, Jeffrey was known as a hardworking man who took great pride in everything he did. His working years began at Turin Highland Golf Course, followed by employment at Sergent’s Furniture, in Boonville, and the Old Forge Motel, in Old Forge. He later continued his career at Savan Enterprise, where he worked until 2014, when the progression of ALS brought his working years to an end.

In 2020, Jeffrey married Laurie Ann Voorhis, and together they made their home in Lyons Falls, Through the many challenges that came with his illness, Laurie stood faithfully by his side, providing endless love, care, strength, and companionship. Her devotion remained constant throughout his journey, ensuring that Jeffrey was surrounded by comfort and love until his final moments.

Jeffrey was a man who found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. One of his greatest passions was his love for Harley-Davidson motorcycles., Throughout his life time, he owned several Harleys and treasured every opportunity to get out on the open road. The freedom of riding, the sound of a motorcycle, and the memories made along the way were things that brought him true happiness.

He also had a deep love for the outdoors and a natural appreciation for craftsmanship. Whether he was working with his hands, enjoying nature, or spending time with those closest to him, Jeffrey found joy in the things he loved. He had an especially soft sport for animals, particularly his beloved dogs, who held a special place in this heart and brought him years of unconditional love and companionship.

But above all, Jeffreys greatest love was his family. He shared an incredibly special bond with his many nieces and nephews, loving each of them as though they were his own children. His love was genuine, unconditional, and something they will carry with them for the rest of their lives. To Jeffrey, family was never simply about being related; it was about the love, loyalty, and memories shared along the way.

Jeffrey is survived by his loving wife, Laurie Ann Rogers, his brother-in-law, Raymond Griffith, of Boonville, husband of his late sister Patricia Griffith; his sister, Lindi Griffith (Burt) of Boonville; his sister, Pam Cobb (Bruce) of South Carolina; his sister, Sherry Dunaway (Rob) of Port Leyden; his brother, Rodney Rogers, (Jinny); and his brother-in-law, Thomas Agens, husband of his late sister, Sandy.

He also leaves behind his longtime best friend, Melody, whose friendship meant so much to him, along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends who will forever cherish his memory.

Jeffrey was predeceased by his parents, Eleatha and Almon Rogers; his brother J.R.; his siters, Patricia Griffith and Sandy Agens; and his sister-in-law, Judy, wife of J.R. along with their children Patricia, William and Tammy.

For more than a decade, Jeffrey faced a battle that required unimaginable strength and perseverance. Although ALS gradually took away his ability to work, ride his beloved motorcycles, and enjoy of the activities that once brought him happiness, it never took away the love he had for those around him or the place he held in their hearts.

Jeffrey’s life was so much more than the illness he endured. He was a husband, a brother, an uncle, a friend, a motorcycle enthusiast, and a man who loved deeply. He will be remembered not for the battles he faced, but for the life he lived, the roads he traveled and the memories he made and the love he left behind.

Though his journey here on earth has come to an end, the memories of Jeffrey will ride on forever in the hearts of those who loved him. May he find peace, free from pain, with the open road stretching endlessly before him.

Ride free, Jeffrey. Until we meet again.
