Linda T. Sanford

Linda was born on April 13, 1946 to Albert and Evelyn Talcott. Her younger life was spent in the Boonville area. She graduated in 1964 from Boonville Central School. For two years she worked at Griffiss Air Force Base before moving to Honolulu, Hawaii. In late 1969 she returned to Central New York where she worked as a secretary and receptionist until she retired.
Her lifelong passion for knitting started at age seven when she was first taught by her mother. Linda greatly enjoyed knitting sweaters, afghans, baby sweater sets and blankets, and other handwork including crocheting, cross stitch and needlepoint. She passed her love and appreciation of homemade items onto her daughters and granddaughters, who lovingly and affectionately called her "Mimi" and "Gra".
Linda was united in marriage to Richard Sanford on New Year's Eve 1992. In addition to her husband Richard, she is survived by two daughters, Burgundy (Anna) Vero and Kelly (Anna) Snyder, who will continue to honor their mother's legacy by living their lives to the fullest. Linda is also survived by son-in-law, Robert Vero, along with her beloved two granddaughters whom she cherished and adored. She also leaves behind her stepchildren, Garth (Kristen) Sanford and Erin Sanford; a wonderful grandson, along with two very special sisters-in-law, Sally Talcott and Charlene Montgomery. She was predeceased by her parents and two brothers, Wayne and Arthur Talcott.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Linda's memory to MVHS Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, 1650 Champlin Ave, Utica, New York 13502-4830 and Boonville Fire and Ambulance, P.O. Box 164, Boonville, New York 13309.
