
Remsen - Michael V. Rennie, 67, passed away unexpectedly on October 17, 2025 doing what he loved , deer hunting in the town of Laurens.
He was born on September 7, 1958 in Lowville, N.Y. to parents Richard and Roselyn Jones Rennie. He grew up in Castorland and graduated from Lowville Academy in 1976. He was united in marriage with Pamela Bennett on March 17, 1979 in Carthage, N.Y. Michael was an auto mechanic for his father at Rennie Motors in Denmark. He then went to work at Burrows Paper, Lyonsdale, and retired from Twin Rivers Paper Mill also in Lyonsdale, after 30 years. They made their home on Route 12 in Boonville before moving to Remsen area.
He enjoyed hunting at Wellesley Island, golfing and being around his family. He especially liked socializing at the family business Jonny B’s Tavern in Floyd as well as helping out where needed.
Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Pamela; his father, Richard; one daughter, Sarah Rennie; three sons, Michael Rennie II, Christopher (Kristin) Meehan, and Jonathan Rennie; grandchildren, Donald , Anthony (Katelyn) and Emily (Mike) Dickinson, Noelle and Brielle Rennie; great granddaughter, Madelynn Kesley; two sisters, Karen Rennie {Paul} and Dawn Rennie. He was predeceased by his mother Roselyn and a brother Brian.
