Ranay S Myers

Boonville - Ranay S. Myers, 74, loving mother and grandmother passed away on October 19, 2024 at Rome Health.

She was born in Lowville, N.Y. on November 28, 1949 a daughter of Harold and Mabel Mason Hubbard.

 She lived in Ogdensburg and Syracuse and worked many various jobs to support her two oldest children as they grew up.  She moved to Boonville and married Larry Myers and together they had two more children. That marriage ended in divorce after 43 years.  She and Larry operated the Post House Café in Boonville for nearly 10 years.  After that she worked at Rome Cable and Rite Aid Distribution, before becoming disabled.

Ranay enjoyed doing crafts, going to the casino, and knitting, which she learned from her mother at the age of seven. She enjoyed being involved in her children and grandchildren’s lives and their special events. For the last few years she enjoyed her beloved tiny dog, Baby, who was everything to her.

Surviving are a son, Christopher (Tina); a daughter, Kimberly (Anthony) and 4 grandchildren. She was predeceased by a beloved son, Robert “Bobby” Myers in December 1987. Ranay’s family would like to thank Cheryl Yager Ballard for all the compassion and friendship shown to her throughout the past several years.
