Randal (Randy) T. Fruin

Constableville - Randal (Randy) T. Fruin, 64, passed away at home surrounded by his family on August 29, 2024.

He was born at Sunset Maternity and Nursing Home in Constableville N.Y. on September 4, 1959 a son of Gerald and Dolores Kelly Fruin.  Randy grew up in the Constableville area and graduated from South Lewis Central School in the Class of 1978. He then embarked on his long career in the Carpentry Construction trade. He founded R.F. Construction which he operated for many years.

He had many hours of enjoyment playing his guitar and singing.  He liked to go to camp and was an avid hunter.  Randy also enjoyed gardening and fixing his cars. He especially had a great fondness for his feline companion, CAT.  

Surviving are his children, Sueann (Woody) Teal Edwards and Thomas Fruin; his mother, Dolores Fruin and 3 grandchildren.  His love of his life Patti Bourgeois;  brothers and a sister,  Jerry (Dorinda) Fruin, Jackie Lynn (Ron) Deardorff,  Bruce (Jay) Fruin: a sister-in-law, Kathy Fruin; step mother, Joannie Fruin; a half brother, Greg (Kimberly) Fruin; many nieces and nephews, and  friends. He was predeceased by his father, Gerald Fruin, and a brother, Timothy Fruin.

Services will be held privately for family at Mills Funeral Home, Boonville. A celebration of life will be on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at Whiskey Jacks, 5454 Plummer Road, Constableville at 1 pm with all welcome to attend.  Donations in his memory may be made to Constableville Volunteer Ambulance, Lewis County Humane Society or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
