Greig - William Joseph Dolan Sr., 71, known by his friends and family as “wild Bill”, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Sunday, October 27, 2024.

William was born at the family home in Talcottville, NY on September 24, 1953 a son to the late Lawrence and Pearl Daubach Dolan. The family later moved to the town of Turin on Gomer Hill where he spent the rest of his childhood years. William received his education from General Martin School. After school he was united in marriage on June 15, 1974 to his late wife Pamela Jean Rocker (November 29, 2009). Once married the couple settled in the town of Greig where they raised four children.

William had a huge love for Ford cars and trucks. He was an avid participant for 32 years in demolition derbies at the local county fairs.  He also enjoyed following many sports. Especially the New York Yankees, Bill Elliot and NASCAR racing.

He worked as a mechanic and truck driver throughout his many years of employment. His favorite being a driver for Cransville Concrete out of Felts Mills, NY, where he worked for his last eleven years of employment until retiring in 2016.

William is survived by his four children, daughter, Heather (Aaron) Fahey; three sons, William Jr., Robert and Edward Dolan; five grandkids; two great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Margaret (Ronald) Dolan; brother-in-law, Robert (Donna) Rocker and also several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his three brothers, Frederick, Ronald and Steve; sister, Mary (James) McIntyre.

The Dolan family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Semlear for his care and also to Lewis County Hospice.
