
CARTHAGE- Authorities are investigating a pair of suspicious deaths in the North Country after two bodies were found in a parked vehicle.
It was shortly after 2:30 p.m. Monday when members of the New York State Police and Carthage Village Police Department responded to North School Street.
It’s reported that two deceased individuals were located inside of a parked vehicle, behind a building.
A preliminary investigation revealed Charles G. Fielder Jr., age 51, from Plattsburgh, NY, was in the front driver seat, and Emily E. Ross, age 39, from Carthage, NY, was in the passenger seat.
Both were found deceased from undetermined circumstances.
State Police are awaiting an autopsy report from the Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the official cause of death.
There is no indication of criminal activity or harm to the public. The investigation is ongoing as of this update.
