
The national average for a gallon of gas in the U.S. was $3.64 Tuesday morning.
According to the AAA, that’s nearly identical to when it was $3.66 last-year at this time. A month ago, drivers were paying a national average of $3.45 in the U.S.
In New York, drivers are paying a statewide average of $3.53 as of this publication, which is significantly higher when compared to last month’s average of $3.36.
Last-year during this timeframe, New Yorker’s were paying an average of $3.61.
Locally, drivers are paying pump prices as low as $3.55 in Lowville, NY and $3.65 in Boonville, NY as of this report, according to GasBuddy.
Meanwhile if you take a look in the Watertown, NY region, GasBuddy is reporting some pump prices that are as low as $3.39, but most establishments seem to be ranging upwards of $3.73.
Similar trends have been noted for this publication in the Syracuse, NY region as well.
Finally in the Mohawk Valley region, GasBuddy is reporting pump prices ranging up to $3.73 in Rome, NY and upwards of $3.66 in Utica, NY.
