North Country resident accused of criminal trespass in Carthage, Troopers say

CARTHAGE- A North Country resident is faced with a criminal trespass charge in Jefferson County, authorities say.

Kandice M. Mathis, 32, of Carthage, NY was arrested early Tuesday by the New York State Police (Carthage). Mathis is formally charged with one misdemeanor count of criminal trespass in the second-degree (entering and/or remaining unlawfully within a dwelling).

According to Troopers, the charge was filed in the village of Carthage, NY. At press time, police said an investigation was pending.

Mathis was released on an appearance ticket and there were no further details provided.
