BOONVILLE- Adirondack Central School is pleased to announce the addition of two new therapy dogs.
Konan, a Newfoundland, and Sigmund Henley Finkelstein, a Maltese Papillon Mix, will begin their duty on Tuesday, January 16.
“We are so excited to introduce our newest Team Adirondack staff members!” Adirondack Central School said in a released statement to social media.
According to Superintendent Kristy McGrath, benefits of therapy dogs include improved attitude and increased motivation to read.
In addition, other benefits include reduced student stress and anxiety and improved reading rate, accuracy and comprehension.
