Aide who accused former Governor Cuomo of sexual harassment now suing New York State

Charlotte Bennett, the one-time aide who worked under former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and accused him of sexual harassment, is now filing a lawsuit against the state.

According to the latest Associated Press updates, Bennett says in her complaint that the state, her former employer, is responsible for Cuomo’s actions and his top aides, who did not take proper action when she first came forward.

Although Cuomo has since taken on additional accusations from numerous other women, he has denied all claims.

It’s reported that when Bennett first came forward with her claims, Cuomo’s administration demoted her to a position in health policy, she accused.

In February, 2021, Bennett became the second woman to accuse Cuomo for his inappropriate behavior.

Later on that August, Cuomo resigned.
