Moose Snowmobile Trail Reports for Friday, March 17, 2023
As we ease into another weekend, conditions have ranged from ‘spring like’ to ‘some of the best they’ve been all season.’
With the month of March marching on, it’s only a matter of time before our snow melts away and the trails close up. Several clubs have been grooming what they can this week.
Watch for hazards and keep in mind conditions are likely to change day-to-day. Here are the latest updates we’ve gathered:

Barnes Corners Sno-Pals: No grooming until further notice; trails have been good.
Brantingham Snowmobile Club: All trails are groomed and open; there is access to Tug Hill.
Long Pond Sno Sled Club: Some fresh snowfall is reported; trails remain open; groomers have been out.
Lost Trail Snowmobile Club: Village trails are deteriorating; remaining trails are open.
Missing Link Snowmobile Club: Expect varying conditions.
Osceola Snowmobile Association: Expect varying conditions; north trails have better coverage; south trails are thinner.
Ohio Ridge Riders: Trails to and out of Poland are CLOSED.
Old Forge/Town of Webb: Good conditions overall; 6-inches of base.
Penn Mountain Snow Riders: Groomers have worked where there is snow; some water holes reported.
Southern Tug Hill Sno-Riders: All Constableville Trails are CLOSED; best coverage is towards Highmarket.
Trackside Blazers: Trails were groomed this week, but conditions are expected to worsen.
Turin Ridge Riders: Best riding is expected on the seasonal roads.
Valley Snow Travelers: Trails were groomed Wednesday; expect varying conditions.
NOTICE: Local law enforcement and snowmobile club officials are warning all riders to obey any and all rules and regulations. This includes, but is not limited to: respecting closed trails and staying off from private property. Police warn to never snowmobile while intoxicated or under the influence of any substance. Watch your speeds and remember to look out for and give right-of-way to groomers on the trails.
