ONEIDA COUNTY- Alder Creek Solar is announcing their latest recipients for the Community Grant Award.
Amidst a very competitive list of applicants, officials are happy to reveal Camp Woodlot LLC, Woodgate Free Library and Dodge Pratt Northam Art and Community Center as the latest winners for this round.
Camp Woodlot will use this grant funding to help rebuild a historic lean-to in Forestport, which was originally erected by the DEC in the 1950’s.
Woodgate Free Library will use their funding to hire a local craftsperson to install protective glass doors to protect historic materials, while also placing in UV protectant window coverings that will serve for both storage and protection.
Finally, Dodge Pratt will use this funding to expand the scope of their community garden, including the construction of a small greenhouse and raised garden beds that will boost production for fruits and vegetables.
These organizations join others like North Country Community Youth Soccer, Boonville Search and Rescue, The Erwin Library and Institute, Boonville Little League, and The Remsen Didymus Thomas Library who have received a grant award from the Alder Creek Solar Community Grant.
