ALBANY, NY- A judge says former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo does not have a valid argument to prolong his court battles over sexual harassment claims with aims of repairing his public image as he continues his Independent mayoral campaign for New York City.
According to the Associated Press, Supreme Court Justice Denise Hartman has rejected Cuomo’s attempt to drag out his taxpayer funded court battle with a woman, who accused him of sexual assault.
The judge claims it is not in the public’s best interest to keep the case going for the purpose of repairing Cuomo’s reputation.
The former Governor resigned in August, 2021 amid a whirlwind of sexual harassment accusations. He now has resurfaced in the run for New York City Mayor.
Cuomo will run as an Independent after losing the Democratic primary to Zohran Mamdani by over 12 percentage points.
