Assault complaint in West Carthage results in arrest of local resident

WEST CARTHAGE- An assault case in Jefferson County has resulted in charges filed against a North Country resident.

On Thursday evening, Timothy Daniel O’Connor, 28, of Carthage, NY was arrested and charged by the New York State Police (Carthage) with one misdemeanor count each of assault in the third-degree and criminal trespass in the second-degree.

Troopers say these charges were filed following an assault complaint in the village of West Carthage, NY.

At press time, police said that O’Connor was issued with an appearance ticket.

There were no further details.
