Beaver River CSD building committee to promote diverse environment for students

LEWIS COUNTY- Officials at Beaver River are working to form a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee.

The goal, according to the district, is to address controversial topics that arise in school, while also promoting an environment for civil conversations around topics that might end up controversial.

We have reached out to Superintendent Todd Green for more details. In the meantime, we do have confirmation that this initiative is part of a movement across the state.

This committee would be made up of over a dozen community members with diverse backgrounds.
