BEWARE: Lewis County Sheriff's Office warns of latest jury duty scam

LOWVILLE- Authorities from the Sheriff’s Office are warning folks of the latest scam that has surfaced.

According to investigators, these imposters are posing as Deputies, telling their victims that they have missed a jury duty and that they must pay a fine via Venmo.

Officials say these calls are fraudulent and anyone who has received a call like this should file a report with the Sheriff’s Office at 315-376-3511.

Investigators say to never hand over any personal information to an untrusted source.
