
TRENTON- A two car accident Monday morning in Oneida County has resulted in injuries and investigators are blaming black ice and slushy road conditions.
It happened sometime shortly after 9:00 a.m. on State Route 365 in the town of Trenton, the Sheriff's Office said.
Preliminary investigation suggests that Alisha Burns, 31, of Remsen, NY was driving a 2006 Toyota Carola eastbound on State Route 365 when she control of her vehicle due to the slushy road conditions and black ice on the road.
As a result, police say that Burns' vehicle spun out of control and entered the westbound lane, striking an oncoming 2017 Subaru Outback, operated by Sarah Gaasch, 41, of Remsen, NY.
There were two Juveniles were transported to Wynn Hospital by Kunkel Ambulance.
Meanwhile, Burns was flown to SUNY Upstate Hospital by Mercy Flight, while Gaasch was taken by Boonville Ambulance to Wynn Hospital for further evaluation.
At this time, injuries for all parties involved do not appear to be life threatening, investigators said.
The Sheriff's Office was assisted on scene by the New York State Police, Barneveld Volunteer Fire Department, Remsen Volunteer Fire Department, Mercy Flight, Star Ambulance, Kunkel Ambulance and Boonville Ambulance.
