
BOONVILLE & LOWVILLE- Residents in Boonville and Lowville, NY are reminded their DPW teams will be out soon picking up any spring yard debris.
April 17 is the start date for both villages. Folks are reminded to never leave any of your yard debris in the street.
Any clippings, brush, leaves and etc. should all be left curbside, between the sidewalk and the street.
If you live in Lowville, DPW officials are asking that any piles of debris are individually sorted. Any piles mixed together will not be picked up.
In addition, Lowville DPW will not pick up large piles from trees or hedgerows.
Lowville residents have the option to take their own yard debris to the disposal area at the sewage treatment plant.
In addition to general lawn debris, residents in Boonville may also leave curbside any branches up to 4-inces in diameter and no longer than 4-feet in length.
Boonville officials stress absolutely no garbage, lumber, pet waste or any other refuse items. For Boonville residents who utilize containers, officials ask that they weigh no more than 50-pounds at pick-up.
Similar to Lowville, Boonville residents may also bring any oversized debris, including shrubs, root balls, large limbs and containers weighing over 50-pounds, to the Boonville Transfer Site just north of the village on Route 12.
