Boonville area teen charged with assault in Steuben

STEUBEN- A teenager from the local area is accused of assault in Oneida County.

State Police (Remsen) investigated a harassment complaint on August 31 in the town of Steuben.

As a result of their investigation, Troopers said they arrested a 17-year-old Boonville, NY teen on Thursday for one misdemeanor count of assault in the third-degree (w/intent to cause physical injury).

Due to their age and youthful offender status, a name or a gender for the teenage suspect was not provided.

At press time, authorities said that an investigation was pending and the teenage suspect was issued with a family court appearance ticket.

There were no further details provided.
