ONEIDA COUNTY- A pair of single vehicle accidents are under investigation, with both of them occurring within just a couple of hours from one another.

According to Boonville Fire Chief Dave Pritchard Jr., they happened at the corner of Merry Hill Road and State Route 294, just outside from the village limits.

The first one occurred shortly after 7:15 p.m. and involved one occupant (the driver), who was transported to Wynn Hospital with unspecified injuries.

Meanwhile, the second accident, a motor vehicle roll-over, occurred later on at 10:00 p.m. Emergency responders said there were four occupants, with one being transported to an area hospital with unspecified injuries.

The Sheriff's Office investigated the first accident, while the New York State Police handled the second accident.

Sources say the Boonville Municipal Commission had quite a bit of work to do from the first accident, which involved a pole getting destroyed.

Power was reportedly knocked-out for several customers, but the Municipal Commission has followed up with a social media post suggesting that power has been restored.

We will share any further updates from police if and when they surface.
