Boonville man charged in alleged East Schuyler Street domestic dispute

BOONVILLE- A domestic dispute over the weekend in Northern Oneida County has resulted in numerous charges filed against a local man, according to authorities.

Austin P. Loftus (no age provided), of Boonville, NY was arrested and charged by the Sheriff’s Office for two counts of criminal mischief in the fourth-degree, along with one count each of harassment in the second-degree, criminal obstruction of breathing, unlawful imprisonment in the second-degree and menacing in the third-degree.

All of these charges stem from complaints of an alleged domestic dispute Sunday in the village. Deputies responded Sunday to an unreported address on East Schuyler Street.

Loftus was taken in for processing; appeared in CAP Court and was eventually released on his own recognizance.

Authorities say an order of protection was issued on behalf of the victim.
